9 month cardiology appointment

Bridget does so good at doctors appointments.   As you know, the cardio appointments take two people....one to entertain and keep the bean quiet and one to listen to the doctor.  At this doctors appointment we had quite a scare the cardiologist thought that she could have Noonans Disease...VERY LONG STORY short...our pediatrician is not concerned and we will monitor her to ensure there is nothing to worry about.

Additionally,  her heart condition is not improving and at this last visit it was a little worse.  There is a surgical procedure that may need to be done.  We will go back at her 12 month appointment.  We are praying that she will grow out of this condition and/or that it stays the same so that no surgical procedures are needed.

Shake, shake, shake

Bean plays with egg shakers all of the time.  She started out with chewing on them but now we just say: Shake, Shake, Shake...she shakes and dances to the sound.  Sometimes she gets so excited dancing that she forgets to shake....

Breakfast with the Dunigans

On Saturday we went to breakfast with Lori and Hannah!  We do not get to see them nearly enough....I cannot believe how big Hannah is getting.  She was a little bigger than Bridget when we first met. It is so fun to watch her grow up.  She is a very sweet and loving young lady!

Dad and bean...she wanted dad's spoon.

Lori and Brendan

After breakfast we played at home a little before nap time...I thought it was important to take a picture of the matching outfits...

Playing with dad...

Bridget LOVES the placemat we have.  I think there is something about the texture of it...she will play for quite sometime with it...

Matching outfits...finally a picture of it.

Swing time

Auntie Destiny took Bridget to the park with some friends.  Bridget went for her first swing ride...thankfully Destiny took a picture for us!

Getting ready to eat

There is really nothing to say...we were getting ready to eat and she was just having so much fun talking...that I had to take some pictures.

I love this little girl!

Mosmer's Wedding

I have posted awhile ago that I work with a woman named Marjorie Osmer (her email is mosmer hence the name).  She is a dear friend and a person that I think we were separated at birth... Well Bridget and I had the honor of attending Mosmer's wedding.  Mosmer looked so beautiful and the wedding was perfect!  I am very excited about her new name Marjorie Land which sounds like an amazing amusement park!

 Self portrait titled: Shake It!

Rachelle (Geneva's Grants and Contracts Director) and Bridget

 Bridget loved Marjorie's long hair...

We then went over to Grandma Billie's house for dinner...dad was not home...we needed to eat!
Auntie Nini (Brendan's aunt Junean) and Bean

Grandma Billie, Auntie Nini and Pixie (and Sophie in Grandma's hand)

Pixie turns Nine Months

We are starting to not fit on the bunny! What will we do?!  Words I would use to describe her: Funny,  Smiley,  Loving,  Smart, Caring, Independent and just flat out Happy!

Physical Milestones:  She loves to suck on her toes...and it is hillarious!  She also can pull herself up to a sitting position all by herself.  There is no concern about leaving the room when she is sitting, she is just fine! We are working on crawling but she really has no interest in it.  Every once in awile I think she might crawl but she just rolls to where she needs to get to.  She loves to feed herself...and is getting much better at getting the food into her mouth.  For awhile there she would get frustrated she would lick the tray (which I thought was pretty smart) but now she does not need to do it.   Grandpa James favorite thing is that she turns things over in her hand before she eats it.

Favorite Toys:  She is still really interested in blocks,  dad's egg shakers, a piano barnyard toy. Honestly she really is so happy that she will play with anything you give her.  She does have a ton of fun chewing on my wallet and now expects it when we shop...wooops!  I brought that on myself.  Oh wells, it gets me closer to a new wallet!

Favorite Games:  Blowing bubbles out of her mouth,  she LOVES to hit two items together so two blocks or two egg shakers. It does not really matter if the items match just as long as she can make them touch.

Words:  Nana (not sure if it is for Grandma, Banana, Destiny, or food--she uses it for all but she is definately trying to associate the word with these things). Nigh Nigh which is bedtime and then a TON of rambling...she loves to "talk"

Bath time in the sink

Brendan went on a boy's trip and Bean & I stayed home.  It was so hot outside that Bridget would not eat, play or do anything she just laid on the floor looking at me...From my trips to Hawaii with her, I knew that she hated the heat...but this was bad.   Thankfully Grandma AH! (my mom) was at our house and put her in the sink for a swim.  Yes, this was her first sink bath and I love them...they are so easy! She ended up eating dinner in the sink.

This is why we have grandmas Bean...they just know stuff!

Blocks...we love them

Bridget loves to play with her blocks.  Brendan will build the tower and then she will knock them down.  Bridget can be entertained for quite some time with her blocks.  Her other favorite thing to do is to hit the blocks together.

Cheerios!!

On Saturday and Sunday mornings we go over to Grandma Billie and Papa James house.  They are up at 6A and never complain that we come over to drink coffee and play!

This Sunday Grandma had a surprise for us...CHEERIOS! We are hitting all of the milestones this week...shopping carts, big girl baths and cheerios!

She was getting so frustrated because she could not release the Cheerios into her mouth...so I caught this at the perfect time...it is her solution to no one feeding her and the hand thing taking way too long!

Family Time at the Park

On Sunday,  we went to the Puyallup Farmer's Market...it was a bust.  It was one of the hottest days of summer and I think the Farmers were not into sitting out in the sun.  The people that were there looked like they were having a hard time keeping the produce from melting.

Thankfully,  the market is at the park...so we got to play and walk around in the beautiful sun.  We even were inspired by some of the landscape we saw.  We have a plan for the side bed by the house (the one on the hill)...it is going to look awesome!

She loved picking up the grass and of course trying to put it in her mouth!

She is singing to dad...la la la

Me and Bridgey

Dada and Pix

Seriously! Could this get any better?!

Brendan and I were able to make it to a Sounders Game...which has proven to be very difficult this year.   We were able to meet our friend Paul for beers at the Pioneer Saloon before the game.  We had a great time.

A bunny the size of Bean

I had a wedding to work so Brendan and Pixie went over to Grandma Billie's house where there was a bunny the size of Bridget!

This is her trying to decide if she likes this

 Yep...passed the mouth test...

 Really excited...

 Shaking it with excitement...

Thanks Grandma!

Shopping carts and bath time

Now that Bridget can sit up without assistance I thought I should start trying some big girl activities like sitting in a cart instead of putting her infant carrier in the cart.  It is silly, now that I am a mom,  every milestone is a big deal...so yes...I took the picture of her first time in the shopping cart! She is so cute!

Poor Mr. Monkey...

I decided it was time to give up on the infant bath.   It had served its purpose and she was just too long for the thing.  This is her first bath like a big girl...and I have to say I am proud of myself because I let go long enough to take these pictures!

This is one of her favorite things to do...hit two objects together
